Nahko and Medicine for the People return to Australia with their worldly blend of rock, hip-hop, and alt-folk, as well as their highly awaited third album Hoka!

On Hoka, Nahko's voice is strong. His mission is clear. The mandate has been thrown down. "Hoka is a Lakota word, an indigenous tribe from the Great Plains, it is a call to action. It's what Crazy Horse would say when he went into battle, 'Hoka, hey!' My call is to put action to the words that I speak and the lyrics I sing. Not just to talk, but to do," says Oregon-born singer/songwriter Nahko, who is of Puerto Rican, Native American (Apache), and Filipino descent.

"This is the soundtrack of the movement for a better planet," he continues. "I want to challenge myself and others to make a change."

“The man known as Nahko Bear fronts an eclectic group, including very impressive violin and trumpet players. The songs evoke images of mountains, the sea, the sky and our connections with nature.”– THE MUSIC

Support artist Kahl Wallis is lead singer and songwriter for indie/alternative band The Medics, an environmental and social activist, storyteller, and now a solo performer. Kahl Wallis is a young Aboriginal man on a mission. Carving out a solo career with his new album stripped back to raw emotion, he is delivering powerful messages through his music.
