Hey everybody, I'm releasing my third single of 2020, titled 'What Do I Say?
I've spent a lot of time trying to think of a captivating show blurb that'll draw people in and sell tickets, but found it impossible to not divulge into narcissistic garbage - So, here is a short story about the what, why and where.
We're releasing a single! Very exciting, I know. This is the most time, money and energy I've ever put into the production of a song and the first with a music video since 'Crippling Depression'. I had even booked a fifteen show tour along the east coast of Australia around this release, but due to the whole global pandemic thing it's no longer feasible. However, on the brightside, due to current restrictions we’re allowed to play the main stage at The Gov which is an absolute dream come true!
This is also James Kenny's last gig with us. He's moving onto bigger and better things, like saving the planet. I called him as I was writing the first iteration of this blurb for advice and he said to be honest and tell people why I put so much time into music. Why am I doing it? What message am I trying to send? And so on. I think back to the bands that I loved growing up and love now. I think about the way that they've made awful moments bearable and bearable moments incredible. I think music is innately healing and can create a sense of solidarity hard to find anywhere else and I would like to add to that in any way that I can. If I can make some of you walk out happier than when you walked in - That's my idea of success and that's why I do it.
Anyway, there you have it folks, we're playing our biggest headline show ever. We’re lucky enough to be joined by some of the best bands going around Adelaide at the moment - Those being Rat TaMango and St Jacques, at arguably the best venue in Adelaide. It’s on halloween night so dress up, have a chat, have a listen, cutla frothies, seat boogie, whatever makes you happy. It’ll be an absolute hoot, I promise!

18+ Event, Under 18's admitted with Parent or Legal Guardian.
